Cross Country Finishes Strong at Berry Invitational

ROME, Ga. — Welcoming more than 400 runners to campus on Saturday morning, the Berry College men's & women's cross country teams each finished in the top 10 in a field with several NCAA Division I opponents. 

The Vikings women's team placed 3rd, with the men placing 7th. 

HOW IT HAPPENED: 

  • Abby Carroll led the Berry women's team, finishing 3rd and ahead of any other runner from an NCAA Division III school with a time of 22:26.55.
  • Meredith Herman followed in 11th with a time of 23:12.70.
  • Mikey Mays was 26th with a 24:04.49.
  • The women's team bested all other NCAA DIII competition, finishing ahead of several NCAA DI and DII schools. 
  • The men's team was paced by Will Knowlton, finishing inside the top-35 with a time of 26:49.87.
  • Parker Roberts and Cameron Bensley followed at 35th and 36th.

  • The Vikings will prep for the Southern Athletic Association (SAA) Championships on Oct. 27 at Rhodes College.
