Track & Field Places Three on Indoor All-Region Teams

NEW ORLEANS — The Berry College track & field teams earned three total U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) NCAA Division III Indoor All-Region honorees, the organization announced on Monday.

Berry's CJ Stone, Jed Woodward and Genesis Leggett earned recognition for their performances during indoor season.

Stone, a senior from Conyers, Ga., earns his first indoor All-Region nod in the 200m. He also started strong in outdoor season at the Victor Icebreaker Duals last weekend, as he currently leads NCAA Division III in both the 100m and 200m dash for outdoor.

Woodward, a senior from Watkinsville, Ga., also earns his first indoor All-Region nod for shot. Also in throws, Leggett, a junior from Live Oak, Fla., earned All-Region in both the weight throw and shot put. It is her third straight indoor All-Region honor.

The Vikings continue competition on Friday at the Southern Invitational in Birmingham.
