Men's Golf Tied for Ninth at Golfweek Fall Invitational

SANDESTIN, Fla. – The Berry College men’s golf team is tied for ninth after the first round of play at the Division III Golfweek Fall Invitational.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

  • The Vikings shot 295 as a team, just 10 strokes back from the first-place leader, Texas-Tyler University.
  • Ryan Elmore and Joel Maire lead Berry after shooting 72 (+1) on the day. They sit tied for 15th.
  • Eddy Black shot a 73 (+2) , and Henry Jones shot a 78 (+7).
  • Phil Leahy rounded out the Vikings’ scoring with an 85.

NOTABLES:

  • Texas-Tyler University leads the team scoring with a 285 round one total.
  • Illinois Wesleyan’s Conner O’Neil leads the individual leaderboard with a 66 (-5).
  • Eleven individuals finished the first round under par.
