Chris joins the Vikings for the 2024-2025 season after coaching two NBA players and a Big Ten player of the Year.
In the 2024-2025 campaign, Coach Logsdon made an immediate impact by developing young talent and honing the skills of returners. His work helped the Vikings to an SAA Regular Season and Tournament Championship and also helped the Vikings in capturing their first ever in NCAA Tournament win. He was also apart of the SAA Coaching Staff of the Year, alongside head coach Matthew Richter. Logsdon also coached four All-SAA players and the SAA Athlete of the Year to round out his 2024-2025 season as an assistant.
Chris Logsdon served six seasons for the USC Upstate program serving as an assistant coach following duties as director of basketball operations previously. Logsdon was part of a staff in 2021-22 that was one of the best in the Spartans Division I era, as the team earned the number two seed in the Big South basketball tournament and set a program record for conference victories as a Big South member with 10. The Spartans also reached the tournament semifinals for the first time as a Big South member (2018-19).Â
Prior to his arrival in Spartanburg, Logsdon spent two seasons as a graduate assistant for The Ohio State University.
During his time at Ohio State, Logsdon worked for both long-time veteran coach Thad Matta and Chris Holtmann. His duties included assisting with daily basketball functions, on-campus recruiting visits, breaking down opponent film, and scouting. Logsdon received his Master’s degree in sport management while at Ohio State.
Prior to Ohio State, Logsdon played at The College of Wooster where he was a three-year letterwinner and a part of four NCAA Division III Tournament appearances, making the Elite 8 as a senior. The Fighting Scots won two conference championships during his time three-year career.
He graduated from The College of Wooster in 2016 with a degree in history.
