Prattville, AL - The men's golf team competed in the Capitol City Classic in Prattville this Monday and Tuesday and finished 16
th in the tournament.
The Vikings were led by
Landon Painter who posted rounds of 74, 72, 79. The team posted scores of 312, 307, 310. This course was arguably the toughest track that the Vikings have played all year. Winds were high and with the length of 7380 and greens that had more elevation and grain than the Vikings had seen before, preparing them for their future matches and the SAA Championships at the end of April.
Following the match, Coach Farrer said "Even though the scores were not what we hoped for, I saw a lot of growth out of each of the players this week. We were fortunate to be together to celebrate Junior
Cam Baker's Birthday on Tuesday. He posted a strong round of 73."
The team is back on the road this weekend in Williamsburg, VA playing in the Sam Snead Collegiate.
