MOUNT BERRY Ga. - Viking men's track and field won their dual meet parings against Oglethorpe (120-19) and Maryville (104-36). Berry is now 20-0, having never lost in dual Mmets over the last 10 years of hosting the Victor Ice Breaker Duals.
Highlights/Results
Freshmen, Braylon Kirkpatrick and Lucas Caseletta-Holmes, opened up their outdoor season with strong start in the 100m with times of 11.03 and 11.05, respectively.
Junior, Berkey Powell, placed 3rd overall with a lifetime PR of 49.62 in the 400m, earning him a spot on Berry's All-Time top 10 outdoor list.
Sophomore, Tavian Anderson, placed 4th in the 800m with a solid 1:59.07 time.
Seniors Ethan Smith and Troy Blackwood placed 5th and 6th in the 1500m.
Junior, Owen Gagnon, placed 5th in the 10,000m with a new lifetime PR of 34:04.
Junior, Ryan Barch, placed 3rd in the 400H with a new PR of 59.06.
Freshman, Quincy Anderson, won the 3000m Steeplechase in his collegiate debut in the event with a time of 10:13.
Freshman, Andrew Popp, took 2nd in the Pole Vault with a jump of 4.52m.
Freshman, Bryce Toomer, placed 4th in the Discus with a strong college debut of 43.93m.
Senior, Dawson Livingston, placed 2nd in the Hammer with a season opening throw of 51.31m.
Sophomore, Clay Robinson, and freshman, Cody Dawson, went 3-4 in the Javelin Throw both with lifetime PR's of 52.25m and 50.66m.
The Vikings will be back in action for outdoor on March 20 and 21 at Emory.
