MOUNT BERRY, Ga. - A nice day at Valhalla warranted the conditions for a spectacular showing from the Berry Vikings as they were planning on using their newly found momentum gained from beating the Piedmont Lions 13-2, and shift that energy towards the Spalding University Eagles. With a large amount of offensive talent displayed on the field, The Vikings would dominate the game 23-2!
A statement was made early on in the game and that energy carried out throughout the duration of the rest of the game. Sophomore,
Isabel Fransen brilliantly offensively threatened the Eagles, putting away 8 goals, marking her 9th goal of the season. Senior,
Katie Claire Smith, put forth her contribution with 4 goals in favor of the Vikings helping establish such a lead. This marked her 12th goal of the season along with establishing an impressive 6 game goal scoring streak. Freshman,
Jayden Simmons, contributed to 2 goals for the Vikings. This game also marked her first goal at the collegiate level. Junior,
Sophia Pellegrino also scored a double, marking her first goals of the season. Junior,
Bella Marrone also had 2 goals to help with the Vikings' success, marking her 3rd goal of the season. Sophomores
Morgan Barton and
Katherine Herrero along with Senior,
Isabel Pregont put forth their contributions with a goal a piece.
In a brilliant playmaking fashion, Freshman,
Lillie Swanson had 6 assists to contribute to the goals scored throughout the course of the game.
The Vikings plan to head on the road to South Carolina for the next to games. They set their sights on the Muhlenberg College Mules with their established momentum on March 7th with a time TBD in Hilton Head, South Carolina!
