COLUMBUS, Ga. -
Hannah Gore captured her 500
th win against Hendrix today in the SAA Tournament win, 8-0.
Gore needed one more strikeout to 500, which she achieved on the first batter of the day on her way to securing her 15
th win of the season in the circle.
The game was all about defense across the first three innings until Berry took the plate in the bottom of the fourth. With
Lauren Cothern's double to centerfield and one out, the Vikings knew they needed to make a move. The team did just that as freshman
Kennedy Moody singled to centerfield to advance Cothern and First Team All-SAA selection,
Erica Bennett single scored both runners to take the advantage at 2-0.
Bradynn Belcher also had an RBI in the inning with her single down the right field line to bring in Er. Bennett before the third out was recorded.
Gore handled the next three batters and Berry headed back to the plate for another three spot in the bottom of the fifth.
Bases were loaded as Cothern stepped back up to the plate with two run single to put Berry on top at 5-0. The third run of the inning came on a sacrifice fly by Moody.
Up 6-0, the Vikings needed two more runs to finish the game before the 7th. With the defense still holding strong, Berry headed back to the box and found those final two runs in the bottom of the 6
th inning.

Avery Greeson were responsible for the final two RBIs to run rule the Warriors in Game One of the 2025 SAA Tournament.
Due to potential weather on Saturday, games have been adjusted for the tournament and Berry will now play tomorrow at 10:00 AM ET against Millsaps and if they win in that game they will be in the Championship game at 5:00 PM ET with the if game to follow.
