Egure and Murdock Headed to NCAA Championships

MOUNT BERRY, Ga. - Two Vikings will represent women's track and field on the big stage in Geneva, Ohio, for the NCAA Outdoor Championships as Macy Murdock and Onoyeme Egure begin their quest for medals.

Head Coach Luke Syverson has watched both of his athletes grow in their events and he is confident in their abilities on the biggest stage. Coach Syverson shared his thoughts on his star athletes, saying "I'm excited for both of them as both have already had the first-time anxiousness that comes with competing at the NCAA Championships.  Instead of focusing on just trying to qualify, both are set on now trying to finish in the top-8 and earn a place on the podium."

Onoyeme Egure's dominance in the southern region and in the SAA has catapulted her to her first NCAA Outdoor Championship appearance. The 2025 SAA Champion and record holder qualified for her first Outdoor Championship in the Shot Put after notching a top ten finish at this year's NCAA Indoor Championship meet.  She has the second farthest throw of any sophomore in the Nation with a mark of 14.12m. Ranked #9 in the nation, Onoyeme seems to be destined to have another strong showing at the Outdoor Championships. Egure is scheduled to compete on Friday May 22 at 2:00 PM ET.

Junior Macy Murdock makes her way back to the NCAA Championships as a two-time SAA Champion in the 400M Hurdles. Last year, Murdock finished 15th overall at the NCAA Outdoor Championships, and she is primed to improve on that with even more collegiate experience under her belt. The school record holder enters the competition this week ranked #14 in the country with a time of 1:01.71. Macy is set to compete on Saturday May 23 at 3:25 PM ET.
