MOUNT BERRY, Ga. - Mason Robinson's terrific showing in the 2025 Track and Field Indoor season has earned him the right to be called SAA Field Athlete of the Year for the second time in his career.
The Douglasville, Georgia, native was dominant at the SAA Championships, where he came in first place in shot put with a final score of 15.25m, which is a school record and a new Centre Indoor Facility Record. Mason's shot put score was also the highest of any athlete in the SAA this season. Robinson's presence was also felt in the weight throw, where he came in second place with a score of 16.33m.
The graduate senior improved his craft throughout the year, as he finished in the top 10 of the shot put and weight throw events against athletes from all three divisions at the Samford and UAB meets. Robinson also finished third in the weight throw and shot put at the Sewanee Indoor Open.
Teammate, Jahari Jones was named to the All-Sportsmanship team.
