MOUNT BERRY, Ga. - Kate Hill has been named SAA Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week for the second time after leading the Vikings without allowing a goal to start SAA play.

A sophomore from Flowery Branch, GA Hill shined for the Vikings in goal delivering a pair of shutouts while playing 180 minutes. In the first game against Southwestern Hill delivered three crucial saves as the Vikings tied the Pirates 0-0. She followed that up with an even stronger performance against preseason SAA number one Trinity with six saves including a huge one in the final minutes of the game, punching the ball just over the bar to deny the Tigers and secure a 0-0 tie. On top of the saves Hill was also commanding in the box punching away several strong corner kicks and free kicks to hold the opposition off the board. Hill leads the SAA with a .913 save percentage and is second with a .475 goals against average.
