MOUNT BERRY, Ga. - The Berry College equestrian team faced two tough teams over the last two days as they took on No. 1 Auburn and No. 4 College of Charleston.
Berry went head to head against Auburn at their home on Friday. Auburn is currently ranked 1
st in the country. Despite the 3-7 loss, Berry held their own by picking up 3 out of 10 points.
Meaghan Kursman won her point on the flat with an 86, then picked up a 2
nd point with a 79 over fences.
Willa Rose Akins won Berry's 3
rd point with an 83 over fences.

On Saturday, Berry competed against College of Charleston at their home (CoC is ranked 4
th in the country), and had the same results, losing 3-7. Berry earned the first win on the flat with
Devon Ansley, who scored an 86. Her score tied with the MOP (Most Outstanding Player). Over fences,
Emily Sudderth won her point with an 83, and
Willa Rose Akins again won her point with an impressive 86. Akins was also awarded MOP for fences.
