MOUNT BERRY, Ga. - Berry Women's Lacrosse took on the SAA front runner, Rhodes in today's home match up and fell 17-5.
Prior to the start of the game, the Vikings took the time to recognize their five seniors on their accomplishments and dedication to the team throughout their time.
Things looked promising from the first draw control with traded goals within a minute of each other,
Dani Taraska scoring the Vikings goal.
Tied at one, Rhodes took over for the remainder of the first period, taking the lead at the 9:39 mark and holding a 6-1 run over Berry to close out the first 15 minutes of play up 7-2.
Taraska notched her second goal to begin the next period, but again Rhodes continually answered, this time going on a 5-1 run before halftime.
The scoring slowed down in the second half, but the Lynx reached the ten-point margin with about four minutes to go in the third at 14-4.
Abby Sprayberry scored her 100
th career goal in the game, but the Vikings effort showed up just short.
