ROME, Ga. – Berry College Athletics is excited to release a new secondary mark for the athletic department.
There is a new Viking in town. Brave. Fierce. Intrepid.
"I am so pleased with our new logo as it honors our past and stays true to the competitive spirit of Vikings Athletics. With our community's patience and feedback, we have a redesign that speaks to our student-athletes and coaches and will work well for all of our future Vikings!" says Director of Athletics Angel Mason.
Last spring Berry revealed the primary athletic mark – the unified Berry B which complements Berry's distinctive "B" and thereby unites and consolidates the institutional and athletic brand.
Since then many from the Berry community including student-athletes, coaches, college trustees, faculty, staff, and alumni have worked vigorously to find the right secondary image to represent the Vikings.
"The new Viking logo makes us proud of who we are, where we come from, and where we are going," says Head Volleyball Coach Caitlyn Moriarty.
Sticking with Berry's primary colors of blue, silver and white, this logo captures the Viking athletic spirit.
Head Baseball Coach/Associate Athletic Director David Beasley said, "I personally like the new logo and believe it is an excellent update to the Viking head that we have used over the years."
Viking Athletics will begin implementing the new marks as equipment, apparel, and facilities are on their natural cycle for updates.
