CONWAY, Ark. - Berry Women's Lacrosse earns their first conference win against Hendrix and increases their overall record to 8-3 with a blowout at 20-4.
Behind
Ally Washburn's 10 saves and
Dani Taraska and
Molley Cross's four goals a piece, the Vikings had an outstanding showing on the road for SAA play.
Annakate Estock started the game scoring the Vikings first goal in the opening two minutes of play assisted by
Haley Larsen. However, the Warriors took no time to answer and tied the game at one.
After that, the Warriors went silent as Berry dominated. Berry posted four more goals in the first from Taraska, Larsen, Cross and Estock to capture a 5-1 lead that they would never give up.
The scoring continued in the second with three straight goals within a minute of each other boosting the Vikings to a 8-1 lead. Hendrix got two more goals to go by in the second before halftime, but the Vikings still ranked over the Warriors after thirty minutes of play (11-3).
Berry's defense held Hendrix to one second half goal while they continued to rampage through the scoring offensively.Â
The team could not be stopped scoring four goals in the third and topping the fourth with five more goals.
The Vikings return to action at home next weekend hosting Sewanee and Southwestern on Friday and Saturday.
