DANVILLE, Ky. - Women's Lacrosse fell in their opening SAA game of the season to Centre College on the road in a tight contest 15-14.
Things looked goof for Berry with the first three goals coming seamlessly for an early 3-0 lead.
The Vikings took the gap to 7-3 by the end of the first led by three from
Dani Taraska.
In the second, the Colonels upped their game and held the Vikings to one goal while they flew 5 past the defense of Berry to tie the game right before halftime.
The second half was back and forth, but the final one point difference was accredited to one extra goal from Centre in the third quarter to take down their SAA opponent.
Katie Claire Smith and
Haley Larsen had good showings offensively with three goals each and
Molley Cross led the team with three caused turnovers on the defensive side.
