Box Score CONCORD, N.C. - Berry Men's Lacrosse hit the road for their first contest of the year in North Carolina at the Cannon School, to take last years champion, Salisbury where they fell 29-6.

Heading into the second, Berry was feeling good after scoring their first goal, and a won face-off by
Caleb Johnston gave his team the advantage as
Joey Cuthbert scored the second goal for the Vikings.
Two back-to-back goals for Berry upset Salisbury as they scored four quick ones with still four minutes to go before halftime. The Vikings 13 turnovers in the period deemed beneficial to their opponent.Â
Michael Beirne found his first of two goals, on his way to lead Berry in scoring before the end of the first half down 14-3.
The Sea Gulls continued an offensive rampage in the second half with fifteen more goals against the Berry defense.

Michael McKenzie squeezed goals by for the Vikings in the second half, but with Salisbury converting 4-5 of their extra man opportunities due to Vikings fouls, and the Vikings coming up 0-6 in man-up situations, the 2023 National Champions took this neutral game to kick off the season.
Berry Men's Lacrosse will be back in action at home as they host three teams this weekend, LaGrange, Oglethorpe, and Piedmont. Berry is set to take on LaGrange on Saturday at 11:00 AM ET to start the tournament.
