MOUNT BERRY, Ga. - The Vikings opened up Briggs Beach today, hosting four other teams in the Berry Kick-Off Tournament. Berry defeated Erskine 5-0 and fell to Tennessee Tech 3-2.

Lindsey MacDiarmid with Sabine Rudolph found two straight wins in today's matches along with the five pairing of Olivia Mallow and Andrea Hurt, each pair defeated Division I opponent Tennessee Tech.

Against Erskine, the Vikings took control and pushed the one and four pair to the third set where they ended with a victory and swept the Fleet.

Berry defeated Erskine 5-0

Match two was an extremely tough battle with the teams being tied at 2-2 before the two pair finished play. Kaylee Howell and Kara Schmit put up a fight as the rain started to come in on a chilly and windy day. Winning the first set, they dropped a close second coming back from being down 17-13, but in the third TTU scored the final two points to capture the match and the win for their team.
