MOUNT BERRY, Ga. - Four All-stars from Berry Volleyball have been named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team.
Two honorees are not new faces to this award:
Bella Boston, who was an All-District member last season and an Academic All-American, and
Kate Whittle who has went 3-3 in receiving this award (only eligible as a sophomore and on).
Following the two repeating award winners are first-timers and sophomores,
Andrea Hurt and
Keira Kruk!
To be considered for this award, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically with a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher. They must also have competed in 90 percent of the institution's matches played or must start in at least 66 percent of the institution's matches.
The 2024-25 Academic All-District® Volleyball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
Academic All-District® honorees were considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. Student-athletes selected as CSC Academic All-America® finalists are denoted with an asterisk and will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced Jan. 14.
The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2024-25 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs. The NAIA CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA governance structure.
