ATLANTA - Another fantastic season by the Berry Volleyball team has come to an end this evening in the NCAA Regionals.
The Vikings fell to a familiar Regional rival, Trinity (soon to be conference opponent) in four sets, 3-1.
Senior
Bella Boston led once more today with 14 kills while
Keira Kruk was one kill shy of a double-double with 19 digs and 9 kills.
After a rough first set where Berry fell 25-16, they knocked the dust off and started to put on a performance in the second. Berry would go on to put up 16 kills in the set, doubling the Tigers and taking them down in a close fashion, 25-23. Errors let the Tigers come within reach, but the Vikings held them off to tie the game at one.
Trinity took back over in the last two to close out the game despite the valiant effort from the Vikings, the size of Trinity was unmatched.
This closes out the 2024 season for Berry, but the team had an amazing post season run with a short scare in the first round of the SAA tournament to come back and take down top ranked Centre to clinch their bid to the 2024 NCAA Tournament. Berry accomplished a first round win yesterday and was matched with Trinity today.Â
Berry still celebrates their seniors and all of their accomplishments and hurdles they overcame this season.
