INDIANAPOLIS — The NCAA Division III Football Committee announced today the field of 40 teams for the 2024 NCAA Division III Football Championship. Teams were selected based on conference results and NCAA Power Index (NPI).

The Berry College Vikings have been selected to host Maryville College in the first round of the NCAA Division III Football Playoffs!

Currently Berry holds the overall with the Scots 7-3, the last meet up in the NCAA Playoffs being in 2018 when the Vikings defeated Maryville 31-0.

Twenty-eight conferences received automatic-qualifying berths. The remaining twelve at-large berths were awarded to teams from the institutions that did not win an automatic berth. 

The first round of the playoffs will be played November 23 at Berry College at 12:00 PM ET.

 The fifty-first Amos Alonzo Stagg Bowl, the national championship game, will be played Sunday, January 5, at Shell Energy Stadium, in Houston, Texas. The game will be broadcast live on ESPN at 7 p.m. Central time.
