MOUNT BERRY, Ga. - Berry's men's basketball team started the second half of Southern Athletic Association play with a 74-51 win over Hendrix Friday night at the Cage Center, keeping the Vikings in control of the SAA standings.
Five different players helped Berry (17-2, 8-0 SAA) start the second half strong with a 14-2 run.
Ryan Segall scored all 10 of his points in the second half, as Berry built its largest lead of 28 points.
Braxton Benham led the Vikings with 17 points, with
Blake Campbell going 6-of-8 from the field to score 15.
Bryce Clark netted 11 and
Chase Ellis also scored in double figures with 10.
The first half was tight, but Berry went on a 10-2 run late to build an eight-point lead over the Warriors (3-16, 2-6 SAA) at the half, 37-29. Benham led all scorers with 12 points in the half.
Berry will be back home Sunday against Rhodes in the Cage Center at 3:00 p.m.
