MOUNT BERRY, Ga. - After winning the Mount Berry Super Regional, No. 12 Berry has Clinched the No. 5 seed for the NCAA D-III Championship Series in Salem, Va., beginning May 26.

The final site of the tournament runs through June 1. In the second game of the first day in Salem, Berry will take on the national runner-up from 2021 and No. 2-ranked Texas Lutheran, the final site's No. 4 seed.

Texas Lutheran has been in the last two National Championships. The Bulldogs finished second in 2021 and won it all in 2019.
 
Texas Lutheran enters the series at 43-4 and ranked No. 2 in the NFCA coaches poll. The Bulldogs come into this game outsourcing their opponent 38-8 in NCAA tournament play. They are led by the trio of Kelly Jurden, Sarah Metzer, and Ashlyn Strother. Jurden bats a .379 on the season with 53 hits and 23 RBI's. Metzer averages .353 with 36 hits and 21 RBI's. The final member, Ashlyn Strother, has pitched 139.2 innings this season in which she has a record of 23-0. Strother has an ERA of 0.65 and 192 strikeouts on the season.
