MOUNT BERRY, Ga. - As the quarterfinal rounds start this weekend in the Southern Athletic Association Men's and Women's Soccer Championships, kickoff times have been announced for this weekend's games at Bob Pearson Field.

On the men's side, Berry will play host to Oglethorpe this Friday night at 7 p.m. Friday night's contest will mark the second time in six days that the two teams have met on the pitch here. In last Saturday's game, the Vikings and the Stormy Petrels battled to a 2-2 draw. The Vikings (7-2-5, 3-2-2) enter with the No. 4 seed in the SAA Championship, while Oglethorpe (5-5-5, 2-1-4) is seeded No. 5.

The women's quarterfinal matchup will commence Saturday at 6 p.m. and will feature the Vikings taking on Birmingham-Southern. Berry enters as the No. 2 seed in the SAA Championships after finishing 5-1-1 in league play in 2022, one-half game behind Sewanee in the final standings. BSC is the No. 7 seed after going 1-6 in SAA play. The two sides met Oct. 7 in Birmingham, Ala., with the Vikings pulling away for a 4-0 victory.

The highest remaining seed in each tournament after the quarterfinal round will be the host for the semifinal and championship rounds. On the men's side, the top seed is Rhodes, which went 4-0-3 in SAA play, including a draw against the Vikings. The Lynx have drawn each of their last three games. The women's top seed is Sewanee, which will host Millsaps to begin championship play.
