Box Score         In front of a large and loud crowd at The Cage Center, the The Berry volleyball team got the new season off on the right foot when the Viking swept past the Maryville Scots in straight sets on the opening day of the Berry Invitational..

        Coach Caitlyn Moriarty's squad opened the contest taking a 25-17 win in the first set, held off Maryville to claim the second set 25-23, and closed out the sweep notching a 25-19 decision.

`        Berry returns to the court Saturday morning for its second and final game of the Invitational squaring off against the Mississippi University for Women at the Cage Center at 11 a.m. in the first of three contests.

        At 1 p.m., Maryville squares off against the University of the South, with the Purple Tigers remaining on the court to close out the Invitational facing MUW at 4.
