Following Friday night's hard-fought victory against Transylvania, the Berry volleyball headed to Danville, Ky., on Saturday where they defeated Southern Athletic Association opponent Centre 3-0 with a three-set sweep.
The win improves the team to 9-1 overall and 3-1 in conference play.
The Vikings opened with a 25-20 decision in the opening set, posted a 25-17 decision in the second and sealed the sweep with a 25-20 final-set outcome.
Turning in a solid offensive output for the Vikings included
Molly Bergin with 11 kills,
Jen Aten with seven kills, and
Olivia Mallow with six kills.
At the net providing a strong blocking performance were
Olivia Mallow with seven and
Cypress Guenther with five.
Emily Rapach was a key player in the match recording 27 assists, and
Laura Beier came up with 24 digs.
