Rome, Ga. – The Berry College volleyball team improved to 4-0 after defeating Hendrix 3-0 in match 1 and 3-1 in match on Saturday morning.
Match one saw a strong defensive outing for the Vikings, as the team tallied 56 digs overall with Laure Beier recording 24.
Peyton Breissinger had 10.
Jazzy Innis led the team in kills with 16, followed by
Molly Bergin with 10.
Hendrix fought back a bit more in match two, taking set two 25-21. The Vikings didn't back down and claimed the next two sets, 25-20 respectively, to secure the 3-1 win.
The Vikings more than doubled their digs in match two, tallying 118 as a team with Beier having 43 and Innis having 30. Breissinger led the team with 19 kills, followed by Bergin with 14.
The Vikings will travel to Memphis this weekend to take on Rhodes in a two-match series.
