Rome, Ga. – The Berry College women's lacrosse team hosted Centre over the weekend in a two-game conference series, losing game one 19-3 and game two 22-3.
In game one, the Vikings scored first following a successful free position shot from
Alexa Medor. Centre quickly answered back and continued to have success on the offensive side of the ball.
In addition to Medor,
Carlee May and
Haley Larsen each connected with a goal.
Cydney Maddox picked up four ground balls for the Vikings, while
Abby Sprayberry and Andrienna Van Soelen won four draw controls.
Andrea Lindgren got the start at goalie, playing all 60 minutes, and recording 16 saves.
Game two, the Colonels struck first. Down 4-0,
Abby Sprayberry was successful with a goal to make it a 4-1 game. Berry's two additional goals came later in the second period from Larsen and May.
Larsen won four draw controls and snagged two ground balls. Lindgren got the start at goalkeeper and recorded seven saves.
Kristina Jones played the second half at goalie and recorded six saves.
