The Berry women's basketball team could not overcome a cold shooting touch as the Vikings lost to host Covenant 37-32 Friday night at the Mountaintop Madness in Lookout Mountain, Ga.
The Vikings, now 1-2 overall, are back in action Saturday returning to the Madness to face Brevard at 2 p.m.
Berry ended the night hitting just 13 percent of its shots from the floor and trailed 24-14 at the half. The Vikings managed to come back to pull to within two points in the closing minutes but were unable to overtake Covenant.
Sydney Blankenship led the Vikings with 15 points, while
Kennedy Moore pulled down a team high 15 rebounds.
