The Berry women's soccer team scored twice in the first half to notch a Southern Athletic Association road win Sunday when the Vikings defeated Hendrix 2-0 in Conway, Ark.
The win improved the team to 7-5 overall and 2-2 in the SAA heading into another conference game Friday when the Vikings host Birmingham-Southern at Pearson Field at 5 p.m.
Against Hendrix, Berry scored 12:05 into the game when
Karsen Brantley hit the back of the net thanks to an assist from
Maeve McDougal.
Just over seven minutes later, the Vikings made it 2-0 when
Lyndsey Francingues scored off an assist by
Maggie Packard.
Berry finished the afternoon dominating Hendrix on the offensive side of the pitch, outshooting the home team 26-10, with the Vikings registering nine shots on goal.

Maggie Jones had three saves in goal for the Vikings to earn her fifth shutout of the season.
