ROME, Ga. — The Berry College women's lacrosse team fell to Birmingham-Southern on Friday night 15-4, slipping to 0-2 in conference play.

BSC improved to 4-4 overall and 1-2 in league competition. 

Birmingham-Southern used an early 7-0 run to control the pace. Berry trailed 9-1 at the break and despite scoring three goals in the second half, were unable to overcome the deficit. 

Miranda Smith led with a hat trick on five shots. 

Berry takes on Carthage on Sunday, March 8 in Georgetown, Texas.
