Box Score 1 | Box Score 2

MONTGOMERY, Ala. — The Berry College softball team split with Mt. Saint Joseph and Huntingdon on Saturday afternoon to open the year.

Berry now sits at 1-1 on the year. Freshman pitcher Madison Hollis tossed a complete game two-hitter in her first collegiate action to earn the win in game one against Mt. Sait Joseph. She struck out five hitters. Bayleigh Masterson and Makenzie Flynt drove in the two runs.

Berry then fell to the host Huntingdon Hawks in game two in a 10-0 run-rule decision. Freshman Lauren Baccari was tagged with the loss in her first action as a Viking.

The Vikings wrap up play in Montgomery tomorrow.
