ROME, Ga. — The Berry College softball team earned a series sweep of Millsaps College on Sunday afternoon, claiming the final game of the set 9-1. 

The Vikings improve to 19-8 overall and 8-3 in the Southern Athletic Association (SAA). Meredith Holland earned the win, throwing 4.0 innings allowing no earned runs. 

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• Kayla Sangrey opened scoring in the second with an RBI double to center field.
• Millsaps answered in the third on a passed ball. 
• Berry regained the lead in the third off a Madison Morgan double and a wild pitch.
• The Vikings plated four in the fifth off a Morgan single, a Majors error and a two-RBI triple from Kristin Hunt.
• Morgan then doubled again in the sixth to secure the win.
