Box Score CHESTERTOWN, Md. — The Berry College men's lacrosse team found themselves down 8-0 after the opening quarter at Washington College this afternoon, eventually falling 21-12 in their second game of the season.
Berry continues to search for its first win of the year. Washington College improved to 1-0.
Washington College's eight goal first quarter proved to be the difference maker in the outing, as Berry traded blows with the Shoremen the rest of the way. After trailing 9-0 in the second, Berry's Hudson Harris scored three straight goals to cut the lead to 9-3. Washington College added three more before the half and led 12-3 at the break.
Both teams were even the rest of the way, scoring four in the third and five in the fourth. The Vikings held their own on faceoffs, winning 17-of-36 and only turned the ball over 13 times. However, they were just 2-of-10 on man-up opportunities.
