Box Score BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — The Berry College volleyball team fell to Birmingham-Southern on Saturday 3-1, dropping to 17-4 overall and 8-2 in SAA play.
Birmingham improved to 13-5 overall and 7-1 in league play. Berry dropped the opening set 25-21, hitting just .083 as a team. The Panthers claimed set two 25-23 before the Vikings were able to force set four with a 26-24 win in the third. BSC closed it out 25-17 in the final set.
Berry hit .094 as a team, committing 38 attacking errors. Emily Hancock had 18 kills to lead the offense. Molly Bergin and Peyton Breissinger also had double-digit kills. Laura Beier added 26 digs in the outing.
In the outing, Carson VanCampen recorded her 1,000th career point and Laura Beier earned her 1,000th career dig.
The Vikings return home on Oct. 19 to host Rhodes.
