ATLANTA — The No. 25 Berry College volleyball team rounded out play at the Emory National Tournament on Saturday with a straight-set victory against Tufts University.
With the win, Berry improves to 4-2 on the year. Set scores were 25-16, 25-19 and 25-18.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Vikings offense was nearly unstoppable, hitting .363 as a team.
- Berry help Tufts to a -.071 hitting percentage in set one, while Berry his .348.
- After jumping out to a 3-0 lead in set one, Berry retained momentum for the remainder of the set, leading by as much as eight points.
- The Vikings controlled set two, before erupting for a .542 attack percentage in the final set.
- Berry earned 11 total blocks

- Carson VanCampen: 9 K, .278 K%, 6 BLK

- Berry's 11 blocks is tied for the 10th most blocks in a three-set match in program history.
- The Vikings have earned 10 or more blocks three times already this year. They are averaging 2.24 blocks per set.
- Berry's Emily Hancock and Emily Rapach were named to the All-Tournament team.
