DANVILLE, Ky. - Ella Makin set a program record with 19 saves on the day, but the Berry College women's lacrosse team fell to Centre College 20-7 on Sunday afternoon.
The Colonels scored 13 goals in the first period and never looked back, tallying seven more times in the final 30 minutes of play to ensure the 20-7 victory. Berry added three and four goals, respectively, in each half of the contest.
On the day, Centre finished ahead in shots (49-10), ground balls (27-13) and draw controls (19-10). Ella Makin (4-6) took the loss in goal for the Vikings despite a strong performance, as Berry fell to 4-6 overall and 1-3 in the Southern Athletic Association.
