FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – Extending their win streak to three straight matches, the Berry College volleyball team defeated both Randolph-Macon and No. 7 ranked University of Mary Washington University on Friday night to open up play in the UMW Invitational.
The Vikings defeated Randolph-Macon 3-1, falling behind 19-25 in the first set before coming back to win the last three, 25-22, 25-14 and 25-14. Berry then swept Mary Washington 25-19, 25-23 and 25-23 in straight sets to round out the nightcap with a victory. In the wins, Berry collected 93 kills to opponents' 83.
