MOUNT BERRY, Ga. – The Vikings added 17 hits, but the Berry College baseball team fell to Piedmont College 15-11 on Tuesday night in a high scoring contest.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Vikings jumped out to a quick start, leading 4-1 going into the fourth inning.
- Piedmont then scored seven runs in the top of the fourth inning and never fell behind again.
- Berry scored a combined six runs in the final three innings of play, but the deficit was too large, and the Vikings fell 15-11.
- In the contest, both teams added double-digit hits, with the Lions outhitting the Vikings, 22-17.
- Nine separate Vikings added at least one hit in the contest, and 11 Lions did so as well.

- With the loss, Berry fell to 19-18 overall on the year.
- Piedmont improved to 22-19.
