MOUNT BERRY, Ga. – Chris Berchock and Luke Koferl each scored three goals as the Berry College men's lacrosse team opened up Southern Athletic Association play with a 24-2 victory over Oglethorpe University on Wednesday night.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• The Vikings jumped out to a huge lead, scoring 10 goals in the first quarter.
• The Stormy Petrels scored their only two goals of the game in the first 15 minutes.
• Berry then shut Oglethorpe out for the remainder of the game, tallying 14 more times to ensure the 24-2 victory.
• The Vikings also led the game in ground balls (46-23), shots (61-12) and face offs (17-11).
• Berry also forced 29 Oglethorpe turnovers to their 17.
