CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Eight Vikings added goals in the contest, but the Berry College men's lacrosse team lost their first game of the season to Hampden-Sydney 14-11 on Sunday afternoon.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Hampden-Sydney was ahead 7-5 at halftime.
- Berry scored at least two goals in each of the four quarters, but the Tigers' seven goals in the third quarter were too much to overcome.
- The Vikings led the game in shots (49-43), while the Tigers led in ground balls (34-31).
- Berry also forced 15 turnovers to their 13 and won 16 of the game's 28 face-offs.
