Box Score SEWANEE, Tenn. -- Berry College lost a Southern Athletic Association women's lacrosse quarterfinal match at Sewanee, 11-6, on Friday.
The Vikings end its season with an 8-8 record. The Tigers moved to 7-10 and advance to next weekend's semifinals.
Kelsey McAnnally led the Berry offense with two goals and one assist. Four other Vikings tallied in the contest: Ashely Kesselring; Lizzy Jones; Keiley Ayers and Angelica Miller.
The Tigers led 5-3 at halftime. Berry fought back and pulled to within one goal at 6-5 and 7-6, but got no closer. Sewanee tallied the game's last four goals.
The Tigers led in shots (25-23), draw controls (13-6) and ground balls (18-16).
Ella Makin had four saves in goal for Berry.
Meredith Sackett netted three goals and one helper to pace Sewanee.
