BC Men's Lacrosse Falls at #15 Denison

GRANVILLE, Oh. -- Bailey Martin and Jake Emche scored goals for the Vikings, but the Berry College men's lacrosse team lost at 15th-ranked Denison College, 17-2, on Sunday.

The loss dropped the Vikings to 2-3. The win improved Denison to 2-1.

Denison College led 13-0 at the break. The Big Red led in shots (44-22) and ground balls (33-22).

The Vikings captured 10-of-21 face offs. Don McIlwain and Michael Troy won five and four draws respectively.

Owen Armstrong led the Denison offense with four goals. 

Zack McConnell (1-1) took the loss in goal for the Vikes. He collected four saves in his 30 minutes of work. Nick Voso finished the game in goal. He had seven saves and allowed four goals. 

Berry will travel to Atlanta to take on Oglethorpe University in their conference opener. Game time is set for 6 p.m. on Wednesday, March 2.
