DANVILLE, Ky. - Katie Truluck broke the Berry career digs record, but the Berry College volleyball team dropped two matches on Saturday. Centre College defeated the Vikings 3-1 in the first match, and Berry fell to Hanover 3-0 to end the day.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
• Set scores against Centre were 27-29, 19-25, 25-17 and 28-30.
• The Vikings added 50 kills to the Colonel's 45.
• They also led the match in assists (50-42) and blocks (7-5).
• Set scores against Hanover were 25-19, 25-18 and 25-23.
• Hanover spiked 44 kills to Berry's 30.
• The Vikings finished the match with 43 assists and 53 digs to Hanover's 29 and 50, respectively.
BERRY STATISTICAL STANDOUTS:
• Emily Hancock: 20 kills, 15 digs
• Jessica Gum: 13 kills, 2 blocks
• Micayla Bedoian: 8 kills, 9 digs
• Hannah Kate Thompson: 32 assists, 12 digs

• With 1,936 career digs, Katie Truluck broke the previous Berry College career digs record of 1,924 in the loss to Hanover.
• Berry moves to 14-7 overall and 7-3 in the Southern Athletic Association.
• Centre improves to 8-9 and 5-3.
