ROME, Ga. – The Berry College Vikings defeated the Rhodes Lynx, 4-to-1, on Sunday. Game two of the doubleheader was canceled due to inclement weather.

With the win, the Vikings move to 12-5 on the year with a Southern Athletic Association conference record of 5-2. The Lynx move to 1-14-1 on the year with an 0-5-1 conference record.

Kassie Howard pitched a complete game. She gave up one run, had three strikeouts and allowed three hits. With the win, she moved to 8-1 on the year.

Brittany Ferrell and Sarah Moore led the Vikings with their 2-for-3 games. Howard also helped lead the Vikings' offense with a home run. Kylie Aiken contributed an RBI triple for Berry.

The Lynx offense was led by Rachel Pewitt. She scored a run and had a hit in the game.

The Vikings play at Maryville on Wednesday.
