Men's Soccer Defeated Centre, 2-1

ROME, Ga. -- With goals from Anu Campbell and Daniel Shaw, the Berry College men's soccer team defeated Centre College, 2-1, on Sunday. 

The Senior Day win improved the Vikes to 8-6-2 overall and 4-3 in the Southern Athletic Association. The loss dropped the Colonels to 7-8-1 and 3-4. 

A sixth-minute goal from Centre's Jacob Trumbull gave the Colonels an early lead. Blasting a left-footed shot from 20-yards out, Trumbull's tally put Centre ahead, 1-0. 

Campbell's 26th minute score evened the game at one apiece. Finding the back of the net off a rebounded save. The score remained 1-1 at the half. 

Shaw then gave the Vikings their first lead of the game in the fifty-seventh minute. Shaw's goal came off a pass from Alex Rotoloni. 

Zachary Wroblewski earned the win in goal for BC, collecting three saves and allowing one goal in his ninety minutes of work.

Baily Spade was in goal for the Colonels, grabbing three saves and allowing two goals on the afternoon. 

The Colonels led the game in both shots (12-11) and corner kicks (5-1). 

BC will host a Southern Athletic Association Quarterfinal match--against Centre--next Saturday, Oct. 31. Game time will be determined on Monday.
