Vikes fall at Centre

DANVILLE, Kentucky -- The Berry College men's soccer team lost at Centre College, 4-0, on Saturday night in Danville, Kentucky.

The loss dropped the Vikings to 7-4 and 1-1 in Southern Athletic Association play. The Colonels improved to 4-2-4 and 1-0-1.

Jon Nelson had five saves in the loss for the Vikings.

Two players--Jacob Winkler and Pavel Terselich--scored all four goals for Centre College.

Winkler, assisted by Christian Gateskill, scored the only goal of the first half in the 23rd minute for Centre College. BC fought back hard, shooting three hard shots, before ending the half still down 1-0.

The Praying Colonels outshot the Vikings 18-15. Winkler found the net again to start off the second half, and Terselich followed with two goals of his own, to secure the 4-0 victory.

Evan Echols led Berry College with six shots, four of which were on goal. Ben Ebersole also added three shots throughout the game as well.

Berry College plays at Millsaps in Jacksonville, Mississippi on Friday, October 17 at 8:30 p.m.
