DANVILLE, Ky. – Berry's softball dropped its Southern Athletic Association postseason tournament opener, 2-0, to Millsaps College on Friday afternoon. The Majors and Emily Collins (8-4) limited Berry to six hits. 

Millsaps scored its runs in the fourth and the seventh on Sierrah Martinez and Caroline Thompson RBI singles respectively. 

Berry's Sara Vigue had the lone extra-base hit of the day with a first-inning double, and Holly Todd added two singles. Logan Dukes and Thompson both turned in multi-hit performances for Millsaps. 

Caillee Shamoun (12-4) took the complete-game defeat for Berry and surrendered nine hits and struck out five. 

Berry will return to action on Saturday at 4 p.m. The Vikings play the winner of Hendrix and Rhodes, which play at 10 a.m.
