ROME, Ga – Berry College defeated visiting Hendrix, 3-1, on Friday night at the Cage Center. The set scores were (25-16, 25-17, 19-25, and 25-20).
The Vikes were down 16-11 in the fourth set before rallying for a 25-20 win.
Stephanie Quinn dished 56 assists for Berry. Prior to the match, the senior setter was honored for surpassing 4,000 assists and 1,000 digs for her career.
Kelsey Lochstampfor spiked 18 kills and Anna Keappler and Katie O'Rourke recorded 13 and 12 kills respectively for the Vikings. Emily Stromberg led the team with 16 digs.
Berry advanced to 17-5 and 10-1 in the Southern Athletic Association. Hendrix dropped to 14-10, 5-6.
Hendrix, however, became the first visiting team to take a set from the Vikings at home this season. Katie Burchfield and MC Rogers both had nine kills for the Warriors.
The Vikings host Rhodes College on Sunday at 2 p.m.
