Box Score Scott Leads Berry With 10 Kills in Loss to Shorter Tuesday
Claire Scott tallied 10 kills and Kiersten Hammock added nine for Berry, but the Vikings fell in four games to Shorter Tuesday evening in front of a huge crowd at the Cage Center. Set scores were 25-14, 20-25, 25-13, 25-23.
Hammock recorded a .316 attacking percentage, committing just three errors in 19 swings. Scott, meanwhile, added nine digs, three assists and a pair of service aces to her line.
Berry's Sarah Steffan finished with seven kills and 14 digs, while Meredith Hopper added seven kills, seven digs and three service aces. The Vikings' Kristin Hargrove led all players with 22 digs, while setter Stephanie Quinn passed for 32 assists and picked up eight digs.
Shorter's Tori Bradley led all players with 16 kills, while Leslie Welch added 12 kills. Four Hawks players finished with double figure dig totals, including Jasmine Cook, who finished with 17.
The Vikings dropped to 6-6 overall, while Shorter improved to 12-3.
Berry is scheduled to return to action this Friday and Saturday at the Emory Homecoming Tournament in Atlanta.
